One of the most popular synthetic reeds on the market, Légère crafts several cuts of reeds to appeal to a wide audience. The Classic cut reed is a thicker reed most appropriate for a traditional or classical setup. It features a thicker tip than other Légère clarinet reeds and is designed to produce a darker sound and effortless projection.

This reed is highly recommended for beginners or those interested in playing on synthetic reeds, although it is also appreciated by advanced players seeking a darker sound.

Unlike other Legere Reed models, the Classics are offered in 1/2 increments only.

Legere Reed Maintenance

Legere Synthetic Clarinet reeds provide instant response, are highly durable and are consistent every time. The reed can be cleaned periodically with water and a mild detergent. Legere single reeds should be stored in their original case from the package, or on a flat surfaced reed case.
