Silverstein Ambipoly Vivace Synthetic Reed

The Silverstein Ambipoly reeds use a new synthetic, Eco-friendly material designed specifically for manufacturing reeds: Ambipolymer. Ambipolymer feels like cane and plays like cane with rich harmonics over a full dynamic range, secure articulation and intonation, and is stable to temperature, humidity and altitude variations. Ambipoly reeds are customizable with your favorite reed tool and have a twelve-month (or more) life expectancy.

The Ambipoly Vivace reed is designed for players who are already comfortable playing on synthetic reeds. With a brightness, power, wide dynamic range, and quick responses with minimal effort, the Vivace reed is an ideal choice for soloists, orchestral, and jazz players. The altissimo has been re-engineered, up to fourth-octave altissimo C, and competes with any reed on the market for clarity, response and intonation. 

It has a direct, up-front, vibrant, colorful, sound that projects well with a larger volume. The Vivace is a very flexible, free blowing reed that has great claratiy, response, and intonation.
