Westerlinck - Talisman for Solo Clarinet

Talisman for Solo Clarinet as written in 2001 after a trip to the other United States. It is a region with a distinctive charm, idyllic cities with leafy avenues and big country houses. In particular, a visit to Savannah, Georgia and its expansive surroundings influenced the writing of this virtuosic yet integral work. A preface (Frontispice), is followed by movements titled On the Crownest, Gryphons, and the concluding Attitude, which disappears into the mist that hangs over the river.
