Dupre (arr. Johnston) - Il Est Né Le Divin Enfant for Clarinet Quintet

This tune, popularly known as 'He is Born, the Divine Christ Child' was adapted by composer Marcel Dupre at the request of his daughter, Marguerite, to play at a Christmas service. A delightful piece with some modern surprises in the middle section. This piece can be performed with as few as five players, but can be expanded and performed by a full choir with the parts included.

• 4 B-Flat Clarinets
• Bass Clarinet

Optional Instrumentation:

• Alto Clarinet/Basset Horn (in lieu of Clarinet 4)
• Contrabass Clarinet/Contralto/String Bass
