Charles Gounod's Funeral March of a Marionette is most commonly known as the theme song of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," an American television series which aired between 1955-65. However, this music was originally composed between 1871 and 1872, intended to be part of a piano suite entitled "Suite Burlesque." In 1879, it was orchestrated by Gounod, and this version was used as the basis for this arrangement for clarinet choir by Hendrik Jan Lindhout.
