She is married to the Belgian clarinet player Bob Van de Velde, and this resulted in this beautiful romance for Bb or A clarinet and piano. Christa's composition style is tonal, harmonious and melodic - wonderfully expressed in this tender romance, reminiscent of the Romances by Schumann. The lyrical clarinet line floats over the rolling triplet accompaniment in the piano part.
