Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, K. 622, was completed in 1791 during the final months of his life—a period marked by both intense creativity and personal hardship. This arrangement by Matt Johnston for Solo Clarinet and Clarinet Choir was created for Rose Sperrazza and John Bruce Yeh, the premiere taking place in April 2025 with the Chicago Clarinet Ensemble. For this arrangement, the entire work has been transposed up a half-step into the key of B-flat major, making it much more playable and comfortable for the ensemble. That said, if you would like to perform it in the original key of A major, please contact us and we can help you make it happen. In three movements: Allegro, Adagio, and Allegro (Rondo).
