Denny-Chambers - Friendship for Solo Clarinet

Friendship by Kristen Denny-Chambers, a solo piece for any clarinet in the clarinet family, was a commission and consortium initiated by the International Clarinet Association and the ICA Clarinet Enthusiasts Committee with the goal of creating a work approachable for enthusiasts while still engaging to seasoned professionals. The music was inspired by the friendships we have made at clarinet and music events. In three movements: We "Meet and Greet" and get to know each other with a great buzz of energy surrounding us. We part ways to our many locations all over the world, experiencing a great distance or "The Sea Between Us." Finally, the time comes for us to meet again at another event, and we celebrate each "Reunion" that we are able to enjoy.
