Reverberations for Two Bb Clarinets by Francisco Javier de Alba. Reverberations is written for two B-flat clarinets and was composed for my friend Dr. Victoria Deutsch. Reverberations is written to mimic the phenomena of when only one player plays in a very reverberant space and slowly begins to produce harmonies from playing against the prolongation of their sound caused by reverb. The difficulty of this piece comes from the requirement of both players to blend perfectly in all aspects of their sound. In addition, the piece ends in an optional 8va section that requires the first clarinet to end on a third-octave C.
