From Clark Fobes: "The Europa mouthpieces feature wider tip and side rails than my standard 10K mouthpieces. The wider rails create a warmer sound by adding resistance and dampening some of the upper overtones generated by the reed. The Europa mouthpieces can be used with cane or synthetic reeds. Of my various mouthpiece designs, the Europa is the most suitable for synthetic reeds."
